Live lobster, right out of the tank

Pick yours from the tank. Freddie will boil or steam it for you at no extra charge. Call ahead and it'll be ready when you are.

Hard-shell lobsters carry the most meat. Sixteen minutes in boiling water is Freddie's rule for a 1½-pound hard-shell — larger lobsters take a bit longer.

How to cook a lobster, according to Freddie

Wait for the water to boil, put the lobster in, then bring the water back to a boil. A 1½-pound hard-shell takes about 16 minutes, and larger lobsters take a bit longer.

Freddie steams them at the shop too. If you're heading over, call first and he'll get the pot going.
